Carol Bevil - I saw Jesus Walking Towards Me: From Judaism to Jesus | Ep 17

Hannah Christine-Fell sits down with Carol Bevil of Fuel Body, Feed Soul. Raised in a supportive, tight-knit Jewish family, Carol grew up with a love for her faith, culture, and ancestry. Raised to read and study Torah, Carol had an appreciation for scripture yet always had an interest in the "Christian" Messiah. Having been taught that the Torah and the New Testament were entirely separate and unrelated, she struggled to understand how anyone could connect Jesus to the very Scriptures she had grown up learning and reciting.

As Carol grew, she attended school and formed friendships with classmates who invited her to church services and Bible studies. Through hearing sermons and teachings about Jesus she came to the realization that Jesus was, in fact, the prophesied and long-awaited Messiah of Judaism. But this revelation brought Carol to a heartbreaking crossroads. Believing she had to choose between her family or Jesus, Carol chose her family. If Messiah truly was the only way to heaven, and her family refused to accept Him, then to avoid being separated from them for eternity she wouldn't either.

Years passed and Carol lived in "open rebellion" against the call of Christ. It wasn't until her husband's pastor challenged her to read the Bible in its entirety - both the Old and New Testaments - that she saw Jesus woven throughout the very Torah she had known since childhood. This realization spurred Carol to recognize the need and desire to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior while transforming her perspective on faith and family. What she once saw as a choice between loving her family and following Jesus became an opportunity to do both. Carol began to see how God could use her life to plant seeds of faith in their hearts.

Today, Carol leads Bible studies and writes curriculum to help other believers strengthen their relationship with God and unveil Biblical truths that apply to our lives. Her story is a powerful testimony of God's patience and the fulfillment of His promises.
